Channing Rein

Broken by my Woman, Channing Rein, is so deep to me. Of course I say this because she is my lady and the love I share with her is deep. However, I know for a fact that you will be amazed by her work as well. Channing is wondrous when it comes to capture her inner feelings and emotional movements through the movement of her compositions.

Rein hits some in-depth expressions in this piece. The humanity she captures is brilliant. I want her to know that I truly and sincerely feel her on this piece; so much so that I will always protect and be there for her when she feels like this. We have all felt this experience as a mind state. I can relate.

My girl should definitely be a composer for movie/video scores. That's real.

PHEEL - Born Day

Check out this joint I did a while back called "Born Day." This was a track where I was just having fun with wordplay and getting poetic. It came out decent. I also made the beat. Enjoy!

Aaahh! Real Monster

I'm taking it back to my childhood. Nickelodeon had an arsenal of good shows in the 90's. Along with Ren & Stimpy, Aaahh! Real Monsters was one of those shows that pushed the limits on what was acceptable for children's television.

The "Black Humor" or "Humour Noir" style was new and innovative with cartoons in the 90's.  I always enjoy the edgy, abnormal content from this series. The creativity was brilliant - from Krumm carrying his eyes in his hands and throwing them around, to Ickis being a small, timid monster then growing 7 times his size with red eyes and fangs when scaring humans.

This show really paved a way for what our society deems acceptable for the youth. Shows like Invader ZIM, Rocko's Modern Life and Ren & Stimpy all added a special something to a collective of sources that helped develop my estranged imagination. The 1990's was definitely a good time to grow up and watch cartoons lol.

Mastermind

Just turned 25...
Birthday just ended...
Reflecting and celebrating Self.

A lot of things are going to change.
Certain moves need to be made.
I have to get in position.

Yet, a lot of things will stay the same.
I am a strong player.
I have an eclectic, intelligent mind.
I am eccentric.
A man of mystery.

You will be seeing a ton of good material coming out of me.
I am in the spirit to grab this energy I feel all around me and convert it into magic.

"Keep Going" The Motto.

"Whatever comes to your hand to do with all your power, do it because there is no work, or thought, or knowledge, or wisdom in the place of the dead to which you are going."

Exit Through the Gift Shop

Exit Through the Gift Shop
by Banksy

I was surfing Netflix last night and spotted this instant classic from Banksy, Exit Through the Gift Shop, and I just had to watch it one more time. I originally seen this film in the theater when it first came out (thanks to my homie Shadell for the location). I was overall satisfied and ultimately inspired with this one.

The film features live footage of street art legends such as Banksy, Obey, Buffmonster, Zeus, Space Invader and many more. A must see for street art/graff fans and art lovers just the same.

Here is some previewing footage for your enjoyment:

new PHEEL piece

^-A new piece I have been working on.-^

It is inspired by the connections with energy, Our Spirit and love.

My plan was to capture the thoughts and feelings of meditation and elevating in your life. I wanted to display it in a sketch, comic book, street art style design with graphite pencils because the idea was dope. Then I added the idea of love within Our Spirit basically because energy, balance, and love are some of the elements that create the basis of our existence (spiritually and scientific).

I really connect with the true meaning of this piece of art.

Curren$y

The moment I spotted this video from Creative Control, I really got into the new DD172 brand from Dame Dash and where Curren$y was headed as an artist. I could see this artistic and behemoth approach to the underground/indie music business, videos, marketing and living life.

I remember when Curren$y was running with Weezy back in the day. Now to see him create this evolution of Hip-Hop is truly a great thing. From dropping dope mixtapes literally every month for a good stretch to putting out the albums Pilot Talk 1 and 2, he is keeping the "Jet Life" alive and well.

One of the tracks I have been vibing too lately is Montreux:

from Pilot Talk 2. They are definitely onto something with this whole movement.

"Jets Fool!!!"

Preacher

Preacher, DC Vertigo

The concept and outline of the story so far is phenomenal. I remember when I was younger, first getting into comics, that Preacher, Witchblade and Spawn were the three comics that were really booming at that time. I initially chose the Spawn route  (which I am still a big fan of). Now, so many moons later, I finally decide to pick up Preacher.

The whole idea of Our Creator (or what ever name you choose to use) quits his/her position in Heaven is mind blowing for a story within itself to me. Then you have an Angel and a Demon fall in love and have a baby that breaks out of Heaven to find Preacher (Jesse Custer) to use as a host. Preacher gains the power to make people do whatever he says - just by saying it. It is really classic comic material and I am looking forward to see what happens. Yo Im just going to lay it flat out for everyone to see in a practical way.

This blog is my ventilation.

My Wind.

My way to express myself.

It is a release for all of my introverted thoughts.

I am a laid-back, very chill, loner kind of guy that enjoys cooling out, thinking, gathering knowledge, spreading peace and having a good time. Dig.

Lets begin...
